Self Myofascial Release continues to grow in popularity and is considered to be a key component when trying to improve flexibility and performance. Most wellness professionals have limited experience and knowledge of self myofascial release techniques such as foam rolling, and how it can benefit athletes and the general population.
This interactive workshop is designed to identify foam rolling techniques and how they can be used to improve health and performance. Students will learn how to perform an appropriate needs assessment to determine proper foam rolling (SMR) techniques, define key considerations for developing a foam rolling program and proper foam rolling (SMR) techniques.

Instructor: Katie Jones joins the Kinetic team as an LMT and Continuing Education Provider. Katie graduated from the Sarasota School of Massage Therapy in 2000 and returned in 2003 to become an instructor. She specializes in Deep Tissue, Hydrotherapy, Hot Stone Massage, Neuromuscular Technique, Prenatal massage, Thai on the Table, and Canine Massage.
Katie grew up in Sarasota and was introduced to the transformative effects of good bodywork after suffering several sports-related injuries, and dealing with reoccurring migraine headaches early in life. She balances her time by seeing clients, teaching, and spending time with her awesome family.
