Cortiva Institute - Continuing Education
Muscle Fiber Methodology is a unique combination of methods incorporating Muscle Fiber Manipulation, Passive Stretching and Client-Specific Exercises that allows clients to reach optimal Performance.
The mission is to provide a practiced group of muscle fiber manipulating methods and passive stretches that creates a wellness-oriented personal care for everyone including busy professionals, athletes, gamers and soccer moms. These muscle fiber manipulating methods and passive stretches targets individual muscles, helps to correct, promotes healing and relaxes all the muscles in the body without pain. The methods and stretches help to promote the body’s ability to manage physical stress as well as enhancing the clients coping mechanisms to better regulate any potential or realized negative impact.
Muscle Fiber Methodology offers a systematic and effective approach to treating various muscular problems. Muscle Fiber Methodology deals with the correction, strengthening and prevention of disorders involving locomotor structures of the body, especially those impacting muscles, joints and other supporting structures of the body.
With the introduction of the Muscle Fiber Methodology as a treatment, these methods that focus on muscle fiber manipulations, will help us to assess and evaluate muscular strengths, weaknesses and compensations (pain avoidance from an old or new injury) within the body. From these evaluations and assessments, we can develop client specific muscle fiber manipulation and passive stretches that targets and utilize all of the client’s muscles, skeletal system, joints, fascia and other supporting structures creating a support system that will promote correction and/or prevention of muscular disorders of the body.
Health Benefits Of Muscle Fiber Methodology
Muscle Fiber Methodology can be used for stress, treatment, rehabilitation and most importantly, prevention. When muscle fiber manipulation is involved in active treatment or in a rehabilitation setting (e.g. those associated with trauma, over-use, chronic or acute pain, or post-surgical care), a requirement emerges for a comprehensive, validated and systematic approach to therapeutic intervention.
Muscle Fiber Methodology can be integrated as part of a total body health and wellness program. When used to treat overworked and/or abused muscles, it can help to restore the optimal performance of muscles and joints. Muscle fiber manipulation also relieves soft tissue pain associated with injury, improves energy and alertness, reduces anxiety levels, stimulates the release of endorphins, strengthens the immune system and lowers heart rate and blood pressure

Andrew M. Frankson is the creator and copyright claimant of Muscle Fiber Methodology. This methodology utilizes a combination of muscle fiber manipulating methods, stretches and client-specific exercises that allows each client to reach hers or his optimal performance. As a 2007/ 2009 graduate of the Massage Therapy and Clinical Massage Therapy Programs, from the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy, Mr. Frankson is licensed to practice massage in the states of Connecticut and New York. Andrew is a NCBTMB Approved CE Provider and an AMTA member.
In 2007, Mr. Frankson recognized the need for a new approach to muscle manipulation and functional training to treat muscular problems. By focusing on the manipulation of the muscle fibers to achieve overall wellness, he designed and developed the systematic and effective techniques of Muscle Fiber Methodology. Muscle Fiber Methodology is effective to treat stress related muscular problems, rehabilitation of muscle imbalances and most importantly, prevention of muscle imbalances and stress related muscular problems. His mission is to provide, muscle fiber manipulating methods that creates a wellness-oriented personal care for everyone. With his experience in the field of personal training, massage therapy and working closely with clients with a wide range of muscle imbalance, Mr. Frankson intends to pass on his knowledge by teaching continuing education with the intention of opening his own school in the future.
Mr. Frankson, who is also the Owner and CEO of S.T.R.E.T.C.H. (Stretching Techniques Rehabilitating Exploring Treating Comprehensive Health) LLC, invented a patent pending device called LLAD (Lower Lateral Alignment Device). This device passively stretches over 15 muscles in the lower body (pelvis, hips, lower legs), that do abduction (standing with feet apart) and lateral rotation (sitting with knees apart) at the hip and ankles without the assistance of the user. His current interest has him working on other inventions that will passively help everyone who uses them.
