Workshop Description:
This 1-day workshop will cover the benefits, guidelines and techniques for elderly clients that are both robust and frail.
Geriatric Massage - This is a specialized approach to massage gearing it for individuals as our bodies experience changes due to aging or other health challenges. These changes often affect skin appearance, muscle mass & tissue and bone mass. This interactive, live class focuses on the importance of reducing stress, joint flexibility, muscle actions, and range of motion while maintaining compassion and empathy for the client.

Carla DiMauro, President of Touching Tradition & South Florida Chair Massage has been a Licensed Massage therapist for over 26 years. Carla is a published author and has written contributions on Special populations including Prenatal, Infant and Geriatric Massage for major publishers of Massage Therapy texts. Carla has also been a continuing Education provider in Florida with 20+ years of experience offering courses in Geriatric, Prenatal, and Infant Massage as well as Chair Massage.
