Workshop Description: This is an overview of the role that Sports massage stretches and technique application play in today’s Sports world.

  • Therapist will learn about sports massage techniques and the role they play in sports.
  • Therapist will learn about indications, contraindications, & guidelines.
  • Therapist will learn stretching & joint mobilization techniques in prone, supine, and side-lying.
  • Therapist will learn protocols for common sports conditions. Including shoulder/upper extremity injuries, hip injuries, lower extremity & feet injuries.

Instructor: Jesse Salmon

Jesse R. Salmon is a licensed massage therapist with 10 years of experience in the field. He has extensive management, customer service, and marketing experience form his time in the restaurant business and warehouse business. He brings those skills to his successful massage business today.

Jesse holds his Associates of Science degree in Advanced Therapeutic massage with a concentration in Sports massage, Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT), Pathology, and assessment protocols. He also holds his Bachelors of Science degree in Spa Management.

Since becoming a licensed massage therapist, Jesse has done work with some of the best high end hotels in Orlando, including The Grand Bohemian Hotel, The Weston Hotels, and The Rosen Shingle Creek. In addition, he provides Sports massage services to athletes at Marathons and Triathlons.

His successful massage business consists of private clientele, and chair massage therapy contracts with the City of Orlando, Lockheed Martin, and Morgan & Morgan.

In 2008, Jesse began his teaching career at Florida College of Natural Health (FCNH), his alma mater. In October of 2011, he was approved as a continuing education Instructor by the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork. He takes his classroom setting expertise into his dynamic, learning environments for his CE classes.

Jesse continues to teach at FCNH. He is also on the advisory board for Keiser University (massage therapy department). He is proud and honored to be working closely with Spa Success, LLC, as an instructor and CE provider.
