Massage therapy can be integrated into a victim’s recovery program, allowing them to reconnect to their body in a safe, health way. This course will discuss how to identify and work with victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. You will learn the benefits of massage, precautions and boundaries, and how to be emotionally and physically supportive for your client.

      Instructor: Donna K Suchecki, a 1999 graduate of Chicago School of Massage Therapy has additional certifications in Ben Benjamin Orthopedic Massage,Pregnancy & Postpartum Massage, LaStone Therapy, Reflexology 1, Trauma: Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault, and Massage Cupping. Donna has maintained a private practice for the past 15 years in Chicago and is also a Certified Corrective Exercise Specialist through National Academy of Sports Medicine since 2005. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology and Psychology from North Central College in Naperville, IL, and is currently working towards her Master’s degree in Public Health-Health Promotion from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb IL.
