Workshop Description: This is a lecture and hands-on class that will help participants assist patients in reducing migraine headache intensity, frequency, and reduce the need and use of pain medication through massage and life style changes that can be the cumulative cause of the migraines. Participants will learn to assess the patient’s needs, provide a treatment plan, understand the anatomy of a migraine and traditional methods of treating them. Those attending will see that massage therapists can influence positive results for their patients, helping them to return to regular routines and reclaim their lives.

Instructor: Anthony Guglielmo
Anthony Guglielmo LMT – was Nationally Certified with the NCBTMB in 1995 and a NYS licensed massage therapist since 1996. As a graduate of the Swedish Institute, his practice includes working with many MD’s and Physicians handling a wide variety of medical conditions that Massage Therapy can be of great assistance. He has been a guest lecturer to medical students and Professors at Cornell University and Tufts University discussing the benefits of Massage Therapy.
Anthony is also an author of medical papers and the internationally selling book “The Walrus on My Table” discussing his experiences of Massage Therapy on animals. In addition to his private practice he is a partner with Cancer Treatment Centers of America working with those dealing with and surviving cancer treatments. Anthony has been providing continuing education classes on a variety of topics to help pass on the knowledge gained over the past 18 years and nearly 35,000 treatments.
