Reiki I Is taught during a weekend intensive but can be done in 1 8 hr day (not including lunch time) 3 to 4 attunements are given. All the information and techniques are covered including:
What is Reiki? The History and Dr. Usui along with learning about ceremony and receiving attunements. The 5 Reiki Principles and how to immediately do self-Reiki. Discuss today’s science and data on Energy Medicine. What is the 5th Element? Show the work of Alex Grey and the Human light body. Learn how to use Reiki for specific conditions and help combat anxiety, depression and injuries. The power of Journaling your Reiki experiences. Intro to Reiki 2 will be discussed.
The class is a combination of lecture, discussion and experience. Practice time includes giving and receiving a complete Reiki treatment using all the hand positions, the self -treatment and practice using all the Japanese Reiki Techniques for level 1.
Please bring and note pad and something to write with. Wear comfortable clothing and the less jewelry the better, especially on the hands. You can bring a meditation mask.
- While practice takes place during the class, it is expected that you will set aside additional time to practice after the class is over. Please commit to this additional time which should be one evening a week for several weeks, or its equivalent, to practice Reiki with one, or more, people from your Reiki class or with members of your family or friends. This additional practice is necessary to gain the experience and confidence you need to fully utilize the Reiki training.
