Myofascial Release is an effective treatment for connective tissue by removing restriction and restoring movement in the body. Restrictions in the connective tissue can be caused by physical injury, medical conditions, trauma, and poor posture.  This treatment can be beneficial for many conditions ranging from, but not limited to, TMJ, low back pain, headaches, and varying sport injuries.  In this course you will learn the anatomy of fascia, benefits of myofascial release, contraindications, postural assessment, and myofascial techniques.

        Instructor: Donna K Suchecki, a 1999 graduate of Chicago School of Massage Therapy has additional certifications in Ben Benjamin Orthopedic Massage,Pregnancy & Postpartum Massage, LaStone Therapy, Reflexology 1, Trauma: Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault, and Massage Cupping. Donna has maintained a private practice for the past 15 years in Chicago and is also a Certified Corrective Exercise Specialist through National Academy of Sports Medicine since 2005. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology and Psychology from North Central College in Naperville, IL, and is currently working towards her Master’s degree in Public Health-Health Promotion from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb IL.
